Our Programs

 All programs follow a 5 day schedule beginning in early September and ending in mid June. 

Hours of Operation

 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 

Additional Care 
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and  3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

We admit children between the ages of 2.9* and 5 years of age. 

*Children must turn 3 years on or prior to December 31st of admission year.

Primary Mornings 

(3 year olds)


Our youngest children are invited to join us for a complete morning work cycle between the hours of  8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  This provides the opportunity for them to experience the fullness of the Montessori community and to participate meaningfully within the boundaries of their development. 

Primary Extended Day 

(Kindergarten Students) 


The Primary Extended Day is essential to the child as he completes the three year cycle.  It is a time for consolidation of all that has been experienced during the previous two years.  The most advanced work is done during this time as the Kindergartner begins to reach a new plane of development. 

Primary Montessori 

(3 and 4 year olds)


We understand that today's lifestyle often includes a real need for extended care. The Primary Montessori Program was designed to provide a flawless integration of the Primary Morning multi-aged environment with activities that support the Montessori philosophy throughout the day.  Extending the day allows the younger and middle children the opportunity to experience the noon meal within the environment.  Truly unique and gracious, this daily event is orchestrated by the children.  In the afternoon there is time for rest and quiet work.  It is a natural extension of the morning work cycle that supports the life of the child.

Additional Care


Our Additional Care program is an extension of the regular Montessori day.  If provides a seamless transition into the early evening hours of the regular school day.  Children enjoy a light snack with relaxing activities that include gardening, craft work, reading, art, music and plenty of outdoor play.

                                          ~The Journey~


The first year is one of discovery and development of self-discipline.  It is a time for the child to experience freedom through thoughtfully applied boundaries. S/he is introduced to the structured environment through individual presentations of materials (or works) which are attractively displayed.  The young child is deeply intrigued by the structure of the environment and materials. Rather than feeling small and confused, s/he begins to feel a sense of connection to the physical environment.  The middle and older children tend to nurture and protect these younger children as they have a deep sympathy and understanding for them.  They remember how it felt to be little and just learning how to "move and be" in the Casa.


The second year, or middle child, continues work with greater depth, understanding, and passion.  As confidence builds, this child is often engrossed in the minute details of all academic areas. Whether it is playing language games together, creating maps of the world/continents in geography, or "fetching" quantities using the golden bead material in math, the middle child is exercising grace and courtesy lessons by inviting these younger children to observe work that is in their future!


 The third year child experiences being the oldest and is admired by the community for accumulated wisdom and knowledge.  A time of consolidation of all that has been previously learned, he continues to refine himself and establishes a deep understanding of the abstract. His previously concrete boundaries begin to thin as his new self emerges ready to transition into life beyond the Casa.
